Tour Itinarary

• Arrival: Fly into Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital city. • Activities: Orientation meeting, equipment check, and briefing with the expedition team. Rest and acclimatization to the local time zone.

Morning: Depart from Islamabad for Chilas via the scenic Karakoram Highway. Overnight Stay: Hotel or guesthouse in Chilas.

Morning: Continue driving towards Karimabad, the central town in the Hunza Valley. Afternoon: Arrival in Karimabad, check into your guesthouse or lodge. Overnight Stay: Lodge or hotel in Karimabad. Rest: Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Hunza Valley, and begin acclimatizing to the altitude.

Activity: Acclimatization hike to higher altitudes around Karimabad. Visit the historic Baltit Fort and Altit Fort. Overnight Stay: Same lodge or hotel in Karimabad.

Morning: Drive to the trailhead near the base of Mount Ultar. Afternoon: Begin the trek towards Ultar Sar Base Camp. The hike is moderate but offers incredible views of surrounding peaks and glaciers. Overnight Stay: Camping at Ultar Sar Base Camp (Approx. 4,200m).

Day 6: Rest and acclimatization at base camp. Day hikes to nearby ridges or the glacier for training and further preparation. Day 7: Organize gear, finalize route details with your guide, and rest to ensure your body adjusts to the altitude.

Morning: Begin the ascent towards Camp 1, which lies at around 5,400 meters. Afternoon: Set up camp on a rocky plateau with views of the Karakoram range. Overnight Stay: Camp 1.

Day 9: Rest day at Camp 1. Light hikes to higher altitude or training on ice and rock climbing techniques. Day 10: Another rest day to fully acclimatize to the altitude and prepare for the push to higher camps.

Morning: Begin the ascent to Camp 2. This day involves more technical climbing, including mixed terrain (snow, ice, and rock). Afternoon: Set up camp near a secure area with shelter, ideally on a snow or rocky platform. Overnight Stay: Camp 2.

Early Morning: Begin the summit push from Camp 2. Expect steep snow slopes, rocky sections, and narrow ridges. The final push requires significant endurance and technical climbing. Summit: Reach the summit of Mount Ultar (7,388 meters). Take time to enjoy the panoramic views of the Karakoram Range, including peaks such as Rakaposhi and Diran. Descend: Begin the descent back to Camp 2. Overnight Stay: Camp 2 (or Camp 1 if you continue the descent further).

Morning: Continue descending to the base camp, retracing your steps. Afternoon: Arrival at Base Camp. Overnight Stay: Camp at Base Camp or return to the guesthouse in Karimabad if time permits.

Morning: Trek back to the roadhead or meet your transport to drive to Karimabad. Afternoon: Drive from Karimabad back to Islamabad. Evening: Arrive in Islamabad, check into your hotel for rest and celebration.
