K6 Peak Expedition 7,282 meters (or 25,659ft)

Overviews

K6 Peak (also known as Baltistan Peak) is a prominent summit in the Masherbrum Mountain range of the Karakoram, located in Pakistan. Standing at 7,282 meters (25,659 feet), it ranks as the 89th highest peak in the world and the 40th highest in Pakistan. This peak is part of the Masherbrum Mountain range, which includes other notable mountains such as Masherbrum, Chogholisa, and Baltoro Kangri. Located in the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan, near the famous Baltoro Glacier, K6 Peak lies within a region known for its vast glaciers and towering peaks, making it a sought-after destination for mountaineers. It is the highest peak around the Charakusa Glacier, located near the Hushe Valley. The Karakoram Mountain Range is one of the most rugged and awe-inspiring mountain chains in the world, spanning across Pakistan and China. It stretches over 500 km in length and 200 km in width and is home to some of the world’s highest peaks, including K2 and the Gasherbrums. This range connects with the Hindu Kush and Himalaya mountain ranges at various points, and is inhabited by diverse communities in valleys such as Skardu, Hunza, and Gilgit. There are two main routes to K6 Peak: one via the Gondogoro Pass and another through Askole. The Askole route is generally preferred for its better acclimatization opportunities, while the Gondogoro Pass is typically used by climbers on their return journey, due to its high altitude of nearly 5,600 meters. Karakorum Alpine Guide provides a comprehensive expedition package for K6 Peak, covering all necessary arrangements for a successful ascent. Our services include hotel bookings, government permits (as K6 is above 7,000 meters), domestic flights, chefs, tour guides, visa assistance, porters, camping equipment, daily meals, kitchen tools, and more. We offer a full spectrum of support for your K6 Peak expedition, ensuring every detail is managed for a safe and successful climb. Additionally, Karakorum Alpine Guide also organizes treks and tours to other stunning northern destinations in Pakistan, including Hunza, Gilgit, Kalash, Shandoor, and Gojal, offering you a chance to explore the unparalleled beauty of the Karakoram region.
