Sabas Tower is a technical and high-altitude peak located in the Biafo Glacier area of the Karakoram range. The climb is challenging and requires good mountaineering skills, especially in ice and rock climbing. It's ideal for experienced climbers who want to explore less crowded peaks in one of the world's most dramatic mountain ranges.

Tour Itinarary

• Arrive in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. • Rest day for acclimatization and briefings. • Team introductions and check gear.

• Fly from Islamabad to Skardu (or drive, depending on weather conditions). • Skardu is the gateway to the high mountains of the Karakoram and is a beautiful town. • Explore Skardu and adjust to the high-altitude environment.

• From Skardu, take a jeep ride to Askole (about 8-10 hours). • Askole is the starting point for many treks and expeditions in the Karakoram. • Camp overnight and prepare for the trek.

• Start the trek from Askole towards the Biafo Glacier Base Camp (approximately 5-6 days of trekking). • The trek will pass through rocky terrain, alpine meadows, and stunning views of surrounding peaks. • Arrive at the Biafo Glacier Base Camp, which will be at an altitude of around 4,500 meters (14,764 feet). • Rest and acclimatize.

• From the Base Camp, continue toward Camp I at around 5,400 meters (17,717 feet). • The terrain will be challenging with ice and rock climbing, glacier travel, and crevasses. • Set up Camp I and rest for acclimatization.

• Continue ascending and set up High Camp at around 5,900 meters (19,357 feet). • This camp will be closer to the summit and offers a good view of the surrounding Karakoram peaks. • Acclimatize and prepare for the summit push.

• Early morning start for the summit attempt. • The climb to the summit is technical, involving ice and rock climbing, using ropes, ice axes, and crampons. • Reach the summit of Shahbaz Tower (6,150m) and enjoy breathtaking views of surrounding peaks like Biafo Glacier and Karakoram giants like K2 and Broad Peak.

• After summiting, descend back to Base Camp and then return to Askole. • Drive back to Skardu for a rest day and then return to Islamabad.

• Fly back to Islamabad from Skardu. • Rest and then depart for home.
