Icecream Peak is a lesser-known peak in the Karakoram Range of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It gets its unique name from the smooth, icy features and the almost pristine, snowy slopes that resemble the look of melting ice cream. Located near the more popular Hushe Valley, which is a hub for trekkers and mountaineers aiming for peaks like Masherbrum and Broad Peak, Icecream Peak is known for its striking, almost surreal appearance when it is covered in snow, as well as its challenging, technical climbing routes. Though not as famous as some of the larger peaks in the Karakoram range, Icecream Peak offers a compelling challenge for mountaineers who are looking for a relatively quieter climb in a remote and scenic part of the world. The peak's technical difficulty, combined with the stunning glacial landscape of the region, makes it an attractive destination for climbers who are up for an adventure.

Tour Itinarary

• Arrive in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. • Rest day for acclimatization and briefings. • Team introductions and check gear.

Fly to Skardu, subject to weather, Drive to Chilas 12- 13hrs 1200-M Hotel

• Travel by jeep from Skardu to Hushe Valley (approximately 6-7 hours). • Set up Base Camp in Hushe Valley.

Rest Day in Hushe Village

• Begin the trek from Hushe Valley to Base Camp. • The trek typically takes 3-4 days, depending on the pace and terrain. • Set up Base Camp and rest for acclimatization.

• Spend time at Base Camp for acclimatization. • Explore surrounding areas and check climbing equipment.

• Begin the ascent toward Camp 1 at around 5,300 meters. • The route includes glacier crossings and rock climbing. • Set up Camp 1 and rest for further acclimatization.

• Continue the climb to Camp 2 at around 5,800 meters. • The climb becomes more technical, with mixed climbing on snow and rock. • Set up Camp 2 for acclimatization.

• From Camp 2, begin the final push toward the summit of Icecream Peak. • The summit push involves steep snow slopes, rock climbing, and ice climbing. • Reach the summit and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Karakoram peaks and glaciers.

• After summiting, descend back to Base Camp. • Rest and recuperate at Base Camp.

• Begin the descent back from Base Camp to Hushe Valley. • Return to Skardu by jeep.
