Aposar Peak is a beautiful yet challenging peak in the Karakoram range. It offers a technical climb with fewer climbers, so it’s great for those seeking adventure and solitude. The climb involves trekking, glacier travel, and rock climbing, requiring good fitness and technical mountaineering skills. Location: Shimshal Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan Elevation: 6,200 meters (20,341 feet)

Tour Itinarary

• Arrive in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. • Rest day for acclimatization and briefings. • Team introductions and check gear.

• Take a domestic flight from Islamabad to Gilgit or drive to Hunza (around 6-8 hours). • Rest and explore Hunza Valley, known for its scenic beauty.

• From Hunza, drive to Shimshal Valley (approximately 5-7 hours). • Arrive in Shimshal and meet the local guides and porters. • Final preparation and acclimatization.

• Begin trekking toward Aposar Peak Base Camp, located at around 4,800 meters (15,748 feet). • The trek will pass through glaciers, rocky paths, and high-altitude terrain. • Set up camp and rest for acclimatization.

• Move from Base Camp to Camp I at around 5,400 meters (17,716 feet). • This section involves more technical climbing, glacier travel, and navigating crevasses. • Rest and acclimatize at Camp I.

• Begin the summit attempt, climbing to the peak (6,200 meters). • The summit push involves challenging ice and rock climbing, requiring the use of ropes and ice tools. • Reach the summit of Aposar Peak and enjoy the panoramic views of the Karakoram range.

• Descend back to Base Camp and then trek to Shimshal. • From Shimshal, drive back to Hunza, and then to Gilgit or Islamabad.

• Return to Islamabad, rest, and fly home.
